The first female Transformer who actually got a TOY, from the Japanese line. Yes, they used the Nightbeat mold. In case you're wondering about the name, Minerva is actually a young human girl... she's piloting a lifeless Transformer body, as are most of the cast of MasterForce.
The actual toy of Minerva is pretty rare, and coveted by many Transformers collectors... very few pop up at conventions. (Toys of female characters are apparently produced in much smaller number in young boys' toy lines in Japan.) But I got mine... loose... mint... complete... for a whopping $5 at a flea market. And I was willing to plunk down a couple hundred for a boxed one at a convention should I ever find one... |
